WIN-911 can be used with pagers, cell phones, land line phones and most any wireless communications.
Applications include: Water & Wastewater Facilities, Power Plants, Military Facilities, Automotive, Semiconductor and Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, Building Management & Security, and Oil & Gas Monitoring.
Data Interface Options
The connectivity options to host software are the most advanced in industry.
• OPC:This has become the standard for robust real-time data transfer between different software modules. Operating as an OPC Client, WIN-911 is compatible with any OPC server that supports Data Access Version 1.0 & 2.0.
• SCADA Direct Database Interface: This offers the most seamless and powerful connection available. Your SCADA system determines the alarm and WIN-911 does the remote alarm notification. If a user acknowledges the alarm locally or by phone, it is acknowledged instantly in your SCADA database. You can even change an alarm set point in the SCADA database without the need to reconfigure WIN-911. Currently WIN-911 supports the SCADA software offerings from Intellution and Wonderware. Direct Connections to other SCADA manufacturers are under development.
• Microsoft DDE: The generic DDE connection is still available for other Windows applications that can be configured as a DDE Server.
Database Imports Import your existing Intellution or Wonderware Database (or Browse all networked OPC Servers) into WIN-911’s Database Import utility and select the data tags you want WIN-911 to include. The Database Import Utility will instantly build a WIN-911 configuration on command. Simply enter your pager & phone numbers, e-mail addresses, assign duty schedules & groups, and you’re done in just minutes.
Text-to-Speech & Voice Synthesis Instantly create all of your required voice sound files in just minutes…OPC and Direct Connects will use the tag descriptions from the SCADA database as the default text for the tag sound. Select your favorite voice and click “ok”! You’ve just completed your WIN-911 “Text-to-Speech” (*.wav) file conversion. If the default files are not suitable for the sounds, you may edit and test each file for complete satisfaction.
Version 7.02 also offers the opportunity to select Dynamic Text-to-Speech (Runtime Voice Synthesis). This choice will verbalize the text from the tag values and descriptions to the local audio and telephone notification types. The major advantage to voice synthesis is that it eliminates the need for pre-recorded .wav files. Thus making changes to the configuration much easier. Also, most Direct Connections to the SCADA software will allow “on-the-fly” database changes.
